This is a view of the imperial Castle and the Hradcany district in Prague, taken from the east. The tall twin towers at right probably mark out St George’s Basilica, with the adjacent pedimented building being part of the Lobkowicz Palace. Various other churches, palaces and buildings are shown, including the onion-domed Loreta.
Turner produced several views of Prague on the 1835 tour.
