The slight, hurried sketches here were made with the page turned horizontally. The loosely drawn buildings in the main view appear to be typically imposing palazzi likely on the Grand Canal, with what seems to be the outline of a dome above to the left and boats in the left foreground, but the setting and viewpoint have yet to be determined. There is an even slighter sketch in a similar mode above. There is a clearer view of the canal on folio 56 recto opposite (D31900).
