P07934 Venus of the Hours 1975
Screenprint 29 1/2 × 14 1/2 (749 × 368), printed at Girdwood and published by the Wild Hawthorn Press in an edition of about 300
Not inscribed
Purchased from the artist (Grant-in-Aid) 1983
Made in collaboration with Ron Costley, who did the lettering - the words of the title together with a Venus sign that is both an ancient and universal pictogram for female sexuality and a shorthand symbol for the dial of a vertical sundial constitute the image.
This and the following entries [P07625-P07634 and P07645-P07647] have all been approved by the artist.
