Jeff Wall presents his hugely influential work in this artist’s talk

Jeff Wall is arguably the most celebrated artist working with photography today. Much of his work of the last twenty-five years consists of carefully composed Cibachrome transparencies mounted on light boxes. Now frequently created using digital technology, they picture the social realities of modern life. Wall’s works owe their scale and composition to the language of painting, often reconstructing specific historic images, while their narrative drama draws on the conventions of cinema.
