Come and view a selection of the Digital Learning team’s film series, Animating the Archives, and learn more of the stories behind Tate’s Archive, exploring insights that have emerged from the digitisation and use of this collection.

The display also showcases the new ‘Albums’ feature on Tate’s website, you can group together artworks and archive objects and upload your own content.

These digital resources have been produced as part of the Archives & Access Project (2012–17) which is a five-year programme to make the Tate Archive accessible to everyone. This includes digitising the collection and creating online resources for the Tate website, alongside learning initiatives both at Tate Britain and with national partners.

Through the project Tate is working with five partners – in South Wales, Liverpool, Tyne and Wear, Margate and London – and involving many other organisations and networks across the UK.
