Drop into Tate Exchange to see a pop-up museum of LGBT+ history on Merseyside.
You Are Here explores 40 years of Merseyside’s LGBT+ history, and aims to raise awareness about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and other groups of sexual and gender minority (LGBT+), while educating audiences and celebrating the people who have made the region a better and brighter place for LGBT+ people.
Presented in the gallery will be a display of personal artefacts donated by the region’s LGBT+ community, complimented by a digital archive produced by Thinking Film (with special screenings to be announced). If you have an artefact that you’d like to donate to the pop-up museum, please contact: youarehere@thinkingfilm.co.uk
You Are Here is programmed by GYRO, a Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate. The digital archive has been put together by Thinking Film, a film production social enterprise. Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.
