Join Mersey Care for an exploration of how creative arts can be a path to self-expression and mental wellbeing. Spend the day or drop into workshops at 11.00 and 14.00.
This interactive event programmed in association with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust coincides with World Mental Health Day and is part of the Liverpool Mental Health Festival. Drop into Tate Exchange and look, listen and discuss with participants personal values on mental health, as well as help challenge the stigma.
Featuring photography, artworks, poetry, film and animation from a wide variety of age groups, there will also be drop in poetry and art activities. Service users and artists will talk about their works and how creativity and art plays an important role in recovery and mental wellbeing.
Art, Mental Health and Me utilises collections and works from a series of cultural programmes involving service users and professional artists at Tate Liverpool, Sudley House (National Museums Liverpool), The Artists Group, FACT and Mersey Care’s poet-in-residence Pauline Rowe.
Programmed in association with Mersey Care, a Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate.
