Tate Modern Pop-up

Family Gallery: This morning I woke up from the most amazing dream... Emiliano Zelada with a video by Francesca Banchelli

Visit This morning I woke up from the most amazing dream… and step into an exciting dream-like space of ever-changing light, sound, moving image and sculpture, inspired by Henri Matisse: The Cut-outs and the fantasy world evoked in Jean-Vincent Sénac’s Meet Matisse book.

Experience contemporary forms of collage through new media, light and sound, inspired by the ways in which Matisse ‘carved into colour’ and brought nature into his studio. In this multi-sensory, playful space, swimmers, dancers and birds collide in a dream-like sequence. Listen out for the sounds of nature, observe the shadows cast by draped textiles and follow coloured lights as they move slowly around the space, changing as they pass through translucent sculptures.
