Tate Collective Walking

Tate’s group of young creatives, Tate Collective, work with artist Jacqueline Passmore to curate a series of events that focus on audio and visual interdisciplinary performance and participation. This series of interventions, workshops and events in the Tanks will allow exchange, collaboration and a merge of ideas and artistic disciplines organised by and for young people.

Bicycle powered Zoetropes and projections inhabit the space for the day. Pedal hard to power up visuals and project your own views onto the walls of the Tanks to contribute to the discussion around issues that concern young people today. What do you have to say about ambition, dreams, truth and reality?

Factory Floor and Dan Tombs

Expect rhythms and sonic beats in the Tanks from techno, electronica trio Factory Floor on Saturday night, accompanied with psychedelic visuals by Dan Tombs. Factory Floor have emerged as one of the most pioneering and dynamic live forces in contemporary British music. Factory Floor are forthcoming artist in residence at the ICA, London, starting September 2012.

Tate Collective: IllumiTate
Tate Modern, The Tanks
Sunday 26 August 2012, 11.00 – 17.00

Join Tate Collective to light up the Tanks in a participatory performance. Experiment with motion and live visuals projected onto the walls of the Tanks. Affix coloured LEDs to yourself and follow rules to navigate the space and create a multilayered pattern of light and colour.
