Tate Collective Producers: Saturday Sessions

© Tate. Photo Ian Kingsnorth

A series of workshops for 15–25 year olds taking you behind the scenes at the Tate St Ives gallery

This is a chance to get hands-on and practical behind the scenes at Tate St Ives. You will design activities and events and then run them as part of our U Studio Festival on Saturday 23 November

We don't expect you to have previous experience and you don't have to attend all the sessions to be involved – all you need is a desire to get creative, experiment and collaborate.

Saturday 28 September

Workshop and introduction to our new Autumn exhibition featuring Assistant Curator Giles Jackson. Find out about Tate Collective Producers and exciting opportunities that Tate St Ives offers young people.

Saturday 12 October

Creative session using inspiration from our exhibition. We will create a collaborative piece of work around the themes of nature, unnatural, power, climate change and our society’s relationship to the environment.

Saturday 26 October

Invited guest artist session, exploring survival tool kits for galleries and artists. How do we find our way? What do we need from galleries in 2019 and beyond?

Saturday 9 November

Ideas and planning day working towards our U Studio festival. What is curating? How do you produce an event?

Saturday 16 November

Skills-based session gearing up for U Studio: you’ll be running it on the day with the Young People’s team and your ideas will be on show, so we’ll be brushing up on technical skills and how to work with audiences.

Saturday 7 December

Christmas social for Tate Collective Producers.
