Artist Bruce Lacey’s sculpture is called Boy, Oh Boy, am I Living!. It has a big orange head with teeth, eyes, glasses, a nose and ears attached. There's a small electrical device attached on its forehead. It has arms and legs that have been added on and it kicks with its left leg.
At the time the artist created the sculpture in 1964, people were thinking about how humans could be added to, and completely replaced with artifical (or fake) body parts. Experiments with electrical currents in the brain suggested that the things we do and things we think could be remote-controlled!
What do you think people thought about that at the time? What do you think the artist thought looking at his sculpture?
