Harry WATSON 1871–1936
Painter of portraits and landscapes. Born 13 June 1871 at Scarborough. Spent three years in Winnipeg, Canada, 1881–3; studied at Scarborough School of Art 1884–8, at Lambeth School of Art and at the R.C.A. 1889–4, where he was awarded a travelling scholarship. Exhibited at the R.A. from 1896; member R.W.S. 1915; R.W.A. 1927; R.O.I. 1932. Taught at Regent Street Polytechnic from 1913. Died 17 September 1936 in London.
