Catalogue entry

There are figures resting among the trees on the left, perhaps having come ashore from the boat or barge with an awning moored in the middle distance. There are more figures lightly indicated in a boat out on the water. Buildings are indicated on the skyline among the woods on the opposite bank, but there is little to enable a specific identification, although a rural reach of the River Thames is the likely location. For other Thames views, see under folio 2 recto (D17775).
