Catalogue entry

A comparison of this subject with that on the preceding leaf, folio 89 recto (D01311; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 57), suggests that they were drawn from almost the same spot. Turner has shifted his viewpoint only a few feet along the shore of the Dee to record the steep bank, of which a portion is visible to the left of the last drawing, and Dinas Brân with its surrounding hills.
Verso:
Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram.
