Catalogue entry

The subject was drawn with the page turned horizontally. Although there are minor differences, especially in the distant hills to the right, this colour study appears to have been based on the pencil drawing on folio 31 recto (D01274; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 24). Dynevor also figures in views on folios 28 recto and 29 recto (D01271, D01272; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 21, 22).
Verso:
Blank, except for three short parallel marks in red chalk; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram.
