Drawn with the page turned horizontally, this is a view at Borrowdale, looking upstream towards Hartsop Dodd with Grisedale Bridge over the Goldrill Beck in the foreground. A view of the bridge from the opposite side is on the following leaf, folio 61 recto (D01081; Turner Bequest XXXV 79).
Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram; inscribed by John Ruskin in brown ink ‘102’ (circled); ?in a later hand in blue crayon ‘14’; and by A.J. Finberg in pencil ‘41.46’.
