Catalogue entry

This is the continuation to the right of the sketch of Hornby Castle from Tatham Church on folio 41 verso (D11511; see catalogue notes). A splash of yellow watercolour to the right of this page probably occurred as Turner referred to the sketch while painting his watercolour Hornby Castle from Tatham Church (Victoria and Albert Museum, London).1
