10-16 features adults lip-synching the recorded interviews of boys and girls aged from ten to sixteen years old. As the accounts progress from children to adolescents, they become more introverted and self-conscious. The video - at once absurd and disturbing - questions notions of what it means to grow up.

Wearing has been influenced by fly-on-the-wall documentaries and often makes works which involve collaboration with the public: 'I like people who go outside of what we perceive to be normal,' says the artist, 'because we've all got an opinion now of what we should and shouldn't do. We all control each other's patterns and we all have ideas of ethics and morals and political correctness. But then that gets exploited.'
