He was a British artist who had lots of exhibitions in London. In one exhibition in 1944, his paintings were blown off the walls in an air raid – amazingly, they didn’t get damaged! This painting shows the Fool, a character Collins loved to paint. </p><p><br></p><p>Despite his name, the Fool is actually very wise. In your costume, you can be whoever or whatever you want to be: an animal, a superhero, a tree ... The world is your oyster!</p><p><br></p><p>Ma Liuming is a Chinese artist who likes to make his own rules. He was one of the creators of modern performance art in China in the 1980s. This photograph shows him being made up with lipstick, eyeliner and rouge. He is becoming Fen-Ma Liuming, his alter-ego.</p><p><br></p><p>An alter-ego can explore other parts of your personality or identity. Do you have an alter-ego? She is standing next to her artwork of Valentina Tereshkova. Do you know who she was? Although we’re still waiting for the first woman to walk on the moon, Tereshkova was the first woman in space! </p><p><br></p><p>In this artwork, Axell has used a technique called ‘assemblage’. This means she used different materials and objects on her canvas.
