Fahrelnissa Zeid dazzles people with magical paintings like this one. It looks like its moving doesn't it? Does it make your eyes go funny? She uses complicated patterns of shapes and colours to create these mesmerising effects. </div><div><br/></div><div>Fahrelnissa Zeid travelled all over the world so the ideas for her painting came from all sorts of places. She was inspired by the Islamic, Byzantine, Arab and Persian art and writing that surrounded her when she was growing up, as well as the landscapes and cities she saw on her travels.</div></section><section><h3>Cool! You're Cindy Sherman</h3><p></p><div>Like you, Cindy Sherman can be anyone she wants to be! She is a master of disguise. She once became lots of different people on a bus, including an old lady and a teenager! Her photographs sometimes look like scenes from movies or fashion shoots – like this one. </div><div><br/></div><div>But as well as playing with disguise, Cindy Sherman has a serious message. She thinks the way that women and girls are often shown in photographs and films isn't fair. Sometimes they don't seem quite real and sometimes they seem to shown as weak and a bit silly. She makes her photographs to get people thinking about this.</div></section><section><h3>Yay! You're Sheela Gowda</h3><p></p><div>As well as being an artist Sheela Gowda is a magician! She transforms ordinary things such as spices, old plastic sheets and even cow poo into magical artworks and installations. These have a powerful affect on all who see them. </div><div><br/></div><div>Like you – and like all the best superheroes – Sheela Gowda cares about people who are in trouble and wants to make their lives better. She uses her art to draw attention to the difficult and unhappy lives of people who have nothing and are living in poverty in India, where she lives. She hopes that by using objects often associated with the lives of poor people she will change powerful people’s attitudes and work some magic, making poor people’s lives better.</div></section><section><h3>Awesome! You're Cornelia Parker</h3><p></p><div>Cornelia Parker has the power to stop time! You know in cartoons how a character might run off a cliff and hover in the air (legs still running!) before they drop? Well cartoons inspired Cornelia Parker to magically freeze things. </div><div><br/></div><div>This sculpture shows an exploding shed that has been frozen in mid-air. Bits of shed, and fragments of things that have been stored in the shed, such as old toys, old tools and books hang suspended. Although her artworks are often spectacular they are also fragile.
