- Sculpture commission of the 'Industry of socialism' exhibition held a meeting to discuss the sculpture by Jacques Lipchitz and remarked that 'the work is made in an absolutely unusual manner for him. A decisive turn towards realism can be felt. But as it often happens in such cases, the author went too far and let some features of naturalism in his work...The work is done passively, in a rather photographic way...'
