Madge OLIVER 1875–1924

Painter of landscapes and interiors. Born 18 September 1875 at Knaresborough, Yorkshire. Studied at the Slade School 1894–8. Lived mainly at Cassis in the south of France for reasons of health. Awarded the Croix d'Or for her work in the 1914–18 War. Exhibited at the Druet Galleries, Paris, 1920. Died in Corsica, 11 September 1924. Memorial exhibition at the Leger Galleries 1935.
