Thirty-two painted ovals in pencil, pen and ink and watercolour, each 11 1/4×6 1/2 (28·5×16·5), on paper 12 1/2×7 1/2 (32×19), mounted in three rows of eleven, the last space being filled by the above inscription. The whole is 42 3/4×86 3/4 (108·5×220·5). Double portraits are on separate pieces of paper joined together.
