Though this relief has been dated 1925 from at least 1936 onwards, it may have been exhibited at the Kestner-Gesellschaft, Hanover, in 1930 as 'Spherical Construction' 1927. The artist confirmed that it was intended to be hung on a wall, with the long strut vertically downwards.
