The lines were drawn by the artist on a copper plate with a hard ground on 7 April 1973. The first ten sets (including this one) were printed in 1974 and the rest of the edition some months later, in February-March 1975, using a slightly different ink mixture which made the lines a little sharper. In both cases the printing was carried out by Kathan Brown and the paper used was Arches Satine watercolour paper. The sets have been issued in a shallow box, without any label or inscription.
