Pencil on white wove paper, 83 x 114 mm

Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Drawn with the sketchbook inverted, and continued on folio 54 (D07937). This might be the bridge over the River Lowther between the park of Lowther Castle and the village of Askham. The building on the slope at left could be the Lowther chapel. For Askham Hall see folio 35 verso (D07906).
