Here Turner shows Berlin’s Schlossplatz, the Langebrücke and the equestrian statue of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg, in the foreground. The southern façade of the Schloss is recorded at right. The inscriptions ‘3’, ‘3’, ‘3’ are written above a distant building at centre and the numbers ‘4’ and ‘8’ against the bays of the Schloss.
