Catalogue entry

The subject is drawn with the page turned horizontally. This is a slight note of the main structural features of the central portion of the south front of the house, seen in steep perspective. The commission from Edward Lascelles to make watercolour views of Harewood resulted in four of the house, based primarily on drawings made on separate sheets of paper (Tate D02379, D02385, D02386, D02388, D02390, D02391; Turner Bequest LI L, R, S, U, W, X), and two of the castle; see under folio 71 recto (D00976; Turner Bequest XXXIV 67).
Verso:
Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram.
