The town of Nemi stands on the slopes above the eastern shores of the lake of the same name, approximately eighteen miles south-east of Rome. This swift, rough sketch represents a view of the town from the north. A similar vista can be found on folios 7 verso and 8 verso (D15568 and D15570).
