This view of Lake Nemi continues from a sketch of Genzano on the opposite page, see folio 24 verso (D15340). It shows the steep slopes surrounding the lake with the distant peak of Monte Cavo partially obscured by clouds beyond. On the right is the town of Nemi with the circular tower of the Castello Ruspoli.
For a general discussion of Turner’s view of Lake Nemi see folio 19 (D15329).
