Catalogue entry

These sketches depict aspects of Nuremberg, Germany. The view orientated horizontally was taken on Ludwigstrasse and shows the domed neo-classical church of St Elizabeth at left, the Weisserturm or White Tower at the end of the street and the church of St Jakob at right. A second view of Nuremberg is rendered to the right of the Ludwigstrasse view, with the sketchbook turned upside down. It shows the Church of St Lorenz from the Karolinenstrasse.
