This page contains four sketches:
i. (main sketch, drawn inverted in relation to the main numbered sequence of subjects in the sketchbook) The continuation to the right of the sketch of Arras on the facing page (D29170; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 71).
ii. (right, drawn with the page upright) Storm over mountains, probably in the Arve Valley, inscribed ‘[?] Leggis’
iii. (centre right, drawn with the page upright) ‘Pal Pisa Salanche’, that is from above Sallanches, looking over the church and town to the Aiguille de Varens.
iv. (bottom left, inverted in relation to the main sketch) From near the baths at Pré St Didier in the Vall d’Aosta, with the church spire below right, and looking to Pallusieux (‘Lessux’ in Turner’s notation) and Verrand (‘Veran’) with Le Chetif to the left and the Mont Blanc range beyond.
