Finberg lists this leaf as one of six which he believed ‘to have formed part of this book’. At the time of writing the present side (now bound as the recto) was laid down on a mount and he could only see the other side (D10311; Turner Bequest CXXXVII 68). The subject may be related to, or an extension of the views of parkland around Ashburnham on D10311 and D10313; Turner Bequest CXXXVII 69, for which see catalogue notes.
