With the sketchbook turned to the right is a rather rapid sketch of a figure in a costume of loose jacket and trousers with a square cap. It apparently belongs to a group of three sketches of costumed figures on nearby pages of the book (see folios 54 verso and 55 verso; D25740, D25742), though there are also further sketches of people in fancy clothes on pages scatted throughout the sketchbook (see folio 57; D25745 for references).
