Across the top of the page is the continuation of a sketch from folio 84 verso (D26602) of the Paps of Jura from Port Askaig across the Sound of Islay. This half of the sketch shows the coast of Jura at the northern end of the sound. The sketch appears to be inscribed ‘Islay’ at the top left, suggesting that the northern tip of the island may be visible at the north of the sound. See folio 37 verso (D26509) for references to further sketches of Port Askaig.
The faint sketch beneath, again continued from folio 84 verso, may show a view north from Broadford Bay on Skye. See folio 84 verso for an explanation.
