Continued from folio 2 verso (D26262) is a double-page sketch of Corra Linn as seen from the eastern side of the Clyde River above the natural amphitheatre. While the waterfall itself is shown on the other half of the sketch, the present page depicts the steps that were carved out of the rock to provide a route from the top of the gorge to the bottom of the waterfall. Turner made a number of sketches from this vantage point, see folio 2 verso for references, and folio 1 verso (D26260) for more information about his visit to the Falls of Clyde.
