The subject of the landscape sketch on this partial, torn page appears to be a distant view of the Mergellina coastline, south-west of Naples, with the Posillipo Hill beyond. The vantage point may be the Chiaia waterfront. The composition continues on the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 15 verso (D15937).
