This study depicts a view of the Temple of Jupiter and the Forum in Pompeii seen through the archway at the north-east corner, tentatively attributed to Tiberius. Turner is standing on the Via degli Augustali facing the north side of the arch which is only faintly sketched in. To the left are the ruins of a row shops near the Macellum (Public Market).
