With folio 4 (D06520) Finberg compared this to Turner’s Spithead: Boat’s Crew Recovering an Anchor (Tate N00481),1 for which see the Introduction to the sketchbook. In fact there seems no very close connection beyond the positioning of a ship in the left distance and the motif of a cutter or yacht crossing a larger ship at centre right.
