Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Turner labelled the spine of the sketchbook with an inscription concerning its title and contents ie. ‘2. Paris, Cross France, Savoy, Rt to Italy’ . The writing is now almost illegible but the text was recorded by Finberg.1
