This is the right half of a double-page spread, continued to the right from folio 22 verso (D10909), opposite, continuing to the right the panorama of York from the south-east begun on the previous double-page spread, folios 21 verso–22 (D10907–D10908). Taken from near Foss Islands Road, the view includes, from left to right across this spread: the central tower and east end of York Minster; the tower of St Cuthbert’s, Peasholme Green; and Layerthorpe Postern and Bridge.
