This page contains three sketches:
i. (left, drawn inverted in relation to the main numbered sequence of subjects in this sketchbook) The right section of a two-part panorama of the citadel of Lausanne from the north-east, continued from the opposite page (D29126; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 48).
ii. (right, drawn with the page upright) The chateau of Lausanne. Turner sketched the same material from a viewpoint slightly further left on the recto (D29124; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 47).
iii. (middle, drawn with the page upright) Lausanne, the lower town looking west past the church of St François, with a large mansion (perhaps a hotel) in the left middle distance and a view of Lake Geneva towards Geneva beyond. Inscribed below mansion, ‘4 hotel[?]’. The same building is sketched on a subsequent page (D29133; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 51a).
