This page contains two sketches:
i. (main sketch) View into a valley from a high position, possibly from the Mont Cenis road, descending towards Susa.
ii. (bottom, inverted in relation to the main sketch) View across the ‘Lake’ of ‘Mt Cenis’ (right) with ‘wall’ and ‘Road’ in the left foreground.
Now bound as the verso this side of the page was stamped and described by Finberg as the recto, despite the other side (otherwise blank) having been numbered as such, possibly by John Ruskin, together with the Turenr Bequest schedule number.
