This slight sketch may show the same bridges as on the recto (D09542), with a ramshackle wooden structure in the left foreground, and a more substantial stone bridge beyond. They may be somewhere north-east of Okehampton (see under folio 43 recto; D09526), as North Tawton, about eight miles in that direction, appears to be mentioned in Turner’s inscription; this seems to be separate from the drawing, and to refer to the substantial stone bridge over the River Taw.
