Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Turner noted the course of the River Tamar at the bottom right, but otherwise this scene is yet to be identified. There appear to be buildings beyond the trees to the right, and a characteristic ‘X’ marks a windmill on the skyline towards the left.
