Turner’s apparent inscription, ‘Dt meet B’, would seem to indicate Dartmeet Bridge, beside the hamlet of that name near the confluence of the East and West Dart Rivers on the south-eastern side of Dartmoor. However, there is nothing to indicate either the ancient clapper bridge or the later road bridge beside it on the East Dart just above where the two merge to form the River Dart, and the slightness of the drawing makes the viewpoint difficult to establish. There are other Dart views on folios 115 verso and 119 verso (D09608, D09615).
For other definite or likely Dartmoor views, see under folio 8 recto (D09489).
