With the page inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the view is northeast up the rocky bed of the River Tavy with the Still Tower on the perimeter of the former Tavistock Abbey complex on the left, and Abbey Bridge beyond. The bridge has since been rebuilt, but the tower survives; see also folio 146 verso (D09667).
