The subject remains unidentified, but is perhaps a harbour or estuary with buildings and roads on the left, in plan or map form. It does not seem to relate to Bristol, seen in the sketches between folio 3 verso (D09894) and the recto of the present page (D09902), but may possibly represent another West Country site (see the Introduction to the sketchbook).
