With the page turned horizontally, St Andrew’s Church, Stoke Damerel, is seen to the south with Stonehouse beyond and Plymouth Hoe and the Citadel to the left, with the Great Mew Stone on the left at the far south-eastern end of Plymouth Sound, and Mount Edgcumbe rising on the right. The church also appears on folios 3 recto and 99 recto (D09220, D09325). The subjects as far as folio 127 recto (D09358) are all identified or presumed sites within a few miles in and around Plymouth, suggesting a series of fairly short excursions.
