The principal sketch is of Ehrenbreitstein citadel at Koblenz, looking up the Rhine. Above and below it are isolated cursory jottings which show a tower and a river scene with notes inscribed reading: ‘Raft of Wood’ and ‘Coblen’ (for Koblenz).
